Kristin Shields is a nationally certified Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from South Dakota State University in 1998. She attended graduate school at Oregon Health & Science University and received her Masters in Nursing in 2003.
Kris moved to Cary in 2008, after living in Oregon for 10 years, although she is originally from South Dakota. She is married and has 2 cats. She enjoys hiking, yoga, vegan cooking and making soap.
She joined the practice in December 2008. She provides in-office obstetrical care and gynecology services, with a special interest in contraception, including IUDs and Implanon.
